HEARING VOICES WORKSHOP DUBLIN 24TH APRIL 2015
BACKGROUND This hearing voices workshop run by Shine and Hearing Voices Ireland (HVI) came about as a result of initial research and development by Aoife Farrell of Shine in 2013 into the whole area of hearing voices. Brian Hartnett of HVI was then brought in as a consultant to help design a two day training programme for Shine staff to enable them to work more effectively with individual voice hearers coming to Shine facilities. This training was delivered in Dublin in October 2013. As a result of the success of the training it was decided to roll out this series of workshops around the country to provide information and support to voice hearers, family and friends, and support workers.
